MISSION OF QUALITY ANNUAL FUND

The generosity of the school parents, parishioners, grandparents, alumni and friends of St. George School knows no limits, as evidenced by the responses to the past Mission of Quality Annual Fund drives.

The 2009 Annual Fund kicked off in April. The Annual Fund is a campaign sponsored by the school to seek additional funds outside of the regular operating budget. Since the Annual Fund began in 1992, St. George has raised over $560,000. The funds have been used to purchase technology, computers, digital cameras and send teachers to workshops. This year, the Auunal Fund proceeds will allow us to complete the expense requirement for the pavilion project and also allow us to enhance our technology curriculum with the purchase of computers and support equipment. 

A percentage of the fund has been placed in the Rev. David A. Vavasseur Educational Endowment Fund. The endowment fund began about 13 years ago with a $5,000 donation from St. George Parish. Since then, a percentage of all Annual Fund donations have been placed in the endowment fund. The endowment fund now totals just under $200,000.

Each year, parents, grandparents, alumni and parishioners receive information in the mail regarding the fund.
